4 – Turn off location tracking
Many social networking sites platforms are set with tracking capabilities turned ‘on’ when you first begin using them. You may have noticed that certain types of posts include your physical location. Often people don’t realize that this feature can (and should) be turned off. Portable devices that are used to access and interact with social networking apps also usually have location tracking enabled. Smartphones and tablets use location tracking via GPS in order to help you get around. Location tracking on devices can also be disabled. The service can then be easily turned back on when and if you need it.
