Social Network Dangers

Ten ways to stay safe online now

10 – Use your head

Just like in real life, if something online sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Think about it. No one is going to give you money for nothing or sell you an expensive item for a really cheap price. If content on the Internet makes you feel uncomfortable, then close it out and move on, there’s plenty more to look at. And if you suspect that your email account or other personal subscription or service has been hacked, get rid of it right away and sign up for a new one. The Internet offers a limitless resource filled with information about virtually anything, so if you are unsure of the legitimacy of something, do some research. It’s better to be safe than sorry!
